Windowsill Dawn
ORIGINAL PAINTING
This piece features a dawn scene of sleepy painted ladies on Polk St in San Francisco. After a great night with friends that inspired several paintings (including the rooftop scene, Parallel), I awoke from my spot on the couch to the extreme chill of morning air. I love sleeping with moving air and had left the window cracked. Despite being awoken much earlier than my alarm, I was thankful for the wake-up call as it allowed me to snap an image of the view outside the windowsill and later paint it.
This original acrylic painting on canvas measures 20 in. high x 16 in. wide. The canvas is 1.5 in. deep, and the edges are painted black. All of my original paintings are signed on the back.
